This first of its kind Marmoset Brain Matrix is precisely machined from stainless steel, designed for freehand slicing of discrete regions of the brain. It allows slicing of coronal sections at intervals of 1mm as well as a mid-line sagittal cut to separate left and right hemispheres.

The high quality stainless steel is very durable and may be heated, sterilized, chilled and scrubbed clean without damaging the matrix. There is a cutout on the underside of the matrix, allowing the section channels to pass completely through the steel block and facilitate improved cleaning.

To keep tissue cool and viable, chill matrices before use. It is advised to not let tissue or debris dry onto the matrix, but rather soak the matrix immediately after use for easier cleaning. We recommend cleaning with a fine bristled tooth brush and/or ultrasonic cleaner.
