30nm Highly Uniform Gold Spheres on Vitreous Carbon
These samples have a random dispersion of highly uniform diameter gold spheres drop-cast on mirror-polished vitreous carbon.
The gold spheres have a coefficient of variation of 5% or less in diameter.
The surface will have some rings of greater or lesser density of the particles.
The uniform size distribution of particles gives both an accurate measure for size, and the geometry of the spheres are suitable for manual or automated routines for correction of focus and astigmatism.
The specimen is mounted in a #16536 spring-loaded Planchet Holder with a removable pin stub for easy compatibility with most SEMs.
