Dual spring-loaded specimen holder for two metallographic mounts 1″ to 1.5″ in diameter, and up to 0.5″ (12.7mm) thick.
The sample is pressed to the cap by the spring, ensuring the polished face of the specimen is flat across the mount.

The removeable insert is used for 1″ samples and is removed for larger samples. Ideal for wide area imaging, and stitching images with minimal focus change between stage moves.
Two locations for 12.7 mm pin stubs are included for mounting of analysis standards with the samples.
