These are designed for free-hand slicing of discrete regions of the brain at exact intervals. They allow slicing of either coronal or sagittal sections at intervals as small as 1mm.The range of uses for both fresh or fixed brain tissue includes precise blocking of the brain prior to microtome or Vibratome sectioning and reproducible removal of small regions of the brain for biochemical analysis.
